Lakelands Golf Club

Located in Merrimac, in the heart of the Gold Coast, Lakelands Golf Club is one of the newer courses in the region. With its pristine, well-maintained fairways and stunning views of the hinterlands, Lakelands is a course where the sun reportedly shines 300 days a year. The course is renowned for its well-conditioned playing surface, ensuring an enjoyable playing experience every time.

Lakelands was the first Jack Nicklaus golf course created in Australia. Nicklaus had a personal hand in its design, and these original designs, as well as other Nicklaus memorabilia, decorate the clubhouse.

Lakelands wasn't an easy course to build, as the designers had to negotiate the Mudgeeraba floodplains. The council restrictions and the cost of landscaping this environment made the project a huge challenge. It finally opened in February 1997, and its first-class facilities, as well as its proximity to the luxurious Radisson Resort, made it worth the wait.
